Magpie

In the immediate vicinity of the Lovecká Bašta resort, there is a nature reserve kuridlo with a view of the Šumava Mountains. Here you can visit the state castle with the Rumpál tower, the museum of the middle thaw and the zoo in the castle moat. A footbridge leads from the castle over the river Otava, which connects the other bank with Podskali. There is also a beautiful cycle path that will take you all the way to Horažďovice.

Muddy

Blatná is a town and municipality with extended scope in the northwestern part of the South Bohemian Region in the district of Strakonice. Here you will find a Water Castle with a beautiful vast field with free-roaming fallow deer that can be fed. Private distillery, brewery and museum.

Sand

Písek was founded in 1243 and its historical core is a city monument zone. Here you will find the oldest stone bridge, a museum and other monuments

Hluboka nad Vltavou

Hluboká is an ideal destination for lovers of history and irreparable romance. The castle is often referred to as the most beautiful Hunting Castle, there is the Alšova South Bohemian Gallery, the Boat Harbor with the route to Zvíkov and the Podolský Bridge. You can visit the wonderful ZOO with a view of the castle zone. Here you will find the oldest stone bridge, a museum and other monuments

Winnipeg

Vimperk is a historic town in the district of Prachatice in the South Bohemian Region, 25 km southwest of Strakonice. There is a castle, a Gothic church, a peculiar sloping square with a city tower and preserved parts of the city walls.

Helfenburg

The ruins of the Gothic castle, which was founded in the 14th century by the Rožmberk family, are located on the wooded hill of Malošín near Bavorov. A part of the castle is an 18-meter high circular tower. A smaller 15-meter high tower was built at the junction of the three walls.

Hoslovice

The single-wheel Hoslovice water mill in the village of Hoslovice is considered the oldest well-preserved water mill in the Czech Republic. The mill, which is protected as a national cultural monument

Rabbi

The ruins of the castle can be found 26 km from Strakonice, on a limestone hill above the river Otava. It is the largest castle ruin in Bohemia, which had one of the most advanced defense systems of its time in Europe.
